From an untrained eye. It looks like a crack = normal

We have a similar stone at our site and it seems to be looking at the stone behind.

I don't know the meaning of "Y". I also encountered what seems like a "Y" but there was an "I" before it or so it seems.
The sign was sketched on the wall of a river which has dried up for the summer. But during rainy season it is not visible as it is under water.
Could anybody offer to help to interpret what it says? Thanks guys.

The marker, Branching Tunnel Heading UP.  Look for a dummy wall or patch on side of river cut bank.  Possibly a singular larger stone on the side adjacent to a high side river bank.  Disguised cement.

Zobex, I think that makes sense. Will try to check it out when I go back to the site. It takes a lot of effort and expenditure to organize a party and the trek is long and arduous. Thanks!
