Title: Java Gold
Post by: BonnTreas on February 12, 2013, 09:56:28 PM
Two weeks ago a brother in the Lord and former churchmate contacted me and informed me about gold bars for sale somewhere in what he said "Brgy. Tawas" Bukidnon. So i sent him and another brother to the place and verify the AU bars, unfortunately not ready with equipments they came back only with nuggets allegedly part of the bars. I had it assayed and confirm that it was an 18K.

So i made a further research about it and providently stumbled in your wonderful site. And to my disgust i found out similar MO with what June143 had posted about scammers in Mindanao. Exactly the same storyline that June had written. However my friends insisted that we should try our luck despite of the odds.

We have scheduled to go this week that's why i posted it here and solicit for your help and valuable suggestion. May i also ask you to please look at the pictures that i have attached herewith that we,  my friends, had taken along with the 3 natives who brought the AU bars who maybe one of the scammers you have noted. Pls also comment if the bars are for real or fake. Pls note that in the pictures the big guy in blue shirt and a small guy with a picture of guitar printed in his shirt are my brothers in the Lord, they are also pastors in their own field of ministry.

I know that you guys care and had so much experiences and expertise on this matter.

Hoping to hear from you.

God bless,

Bonn Treas

My own opinion and thinking:

1.  In the history of the Pre-war Southeast asian nation, there is no country here who had put the words "Government Property" in the gold bar.

2.  All the gold bars of the government has a standard molder to ensure the uniformity of weight, size and markings, thus the marking are standard in size all through out per weight class/category; and

3. If that was a government property, that would have been "rejected" by the standards thus it would have been re-melted and re-shaped/re-molded to the acceptable standards of the government.

Imagine if that would have been a real government gold, WOULD THEY TRANSACT THAT KIND OF STATE OF BAR WITH OTHER FOREIGN NATION FOR BUSINESS? That government would had put themselves in shame just by showing that kind of standard bars.

4. Check on the cut portion of the bar in picture 2. Why does it have a dark spot surrounding the cut portion, compare to the other parts of the bar? Could it indicate that it was just later plastered/filled up with gold?

5. What are those marks on the bottom of the side in picture 3? Are those indications of metal corrosion?

6. Why did they not clean the bars before presenting it for a deal? Why does blackened bars always turn out FAKE?

7. Always check the bottom portion if it has the concave cooling marks (for gold bars molded during WW2).

Think about it in a positive way.
Better assay it by cutting it through and through crosswise and lengthwise. It always pays to be sure, better be safe than sorry later.

Sorry to tell you but you can clearly see that all those bars are FAKE. Even looking at the bottom you can see there's no concave cooling mark there.

Have a look here and see what I'm talking about in bar comparisons: http://www.tseatc.com/goldscams.html

The bar shown has a marking, JAVA GOLD and below it is Government Property. So, what Government does it belong to as JAVA is NOT a Country by itself, only a part of INDONESIA. Like DB said, No AU Bars has markings like the one you posted here, Normally, it is just the country of Origin, ie; Cambodia, Sumatra or Burma. Whoever made those Bars is so Ignorant and Stupid, pardon the language  but whoever is trying to sell those Bars deserve that kind of language. Now, the comments you have received were ALL Negative, it is still your Decision if you will pursue the issue, you have been told.
A Word of Caution, when BIG MONEY IS INVOLVED, DO NOT even TRUST your Real Brothers or Sisters, Much More so with a Brother in the Lord.

Ouch! What i have gotten into!???

thanks a lot to all you guys, & bros who took time to read and made valuable comments. I was even that stupid to post the pictures of the brothers without shading their faces and exposing them to undue risks. May i request the Administrator to please delete the last two pictures, pleaseeeee.

Like what others that may have been victims of these scammers would silently say: "Charge it to Experience".

Thanks again and God bless to all of you.

The two guys (the big guy in blue and small guy with a guitar print on his shirt- friends/brothers in faith, i've sent for them to verify the bars) i mentioned might be marked by these or other scammers for having their pictures posted. Or was i just over reacting on it?

Well that was just a kind request, if granted will be highly appreciated. Beside i didn't ask their permission, i admit it is already my problem.

thanks

Indeed fake, and i have to confirm it!

I've willingly put a wager, spent a few thousands, played games with, just to have a first hand experience with these scammers even after hearing and believing all that you have told me guys.

For any average thinking citizen, who would have thought that these natives could come up with a well scripted, well planned and well acted muro-muro. and to think that for every scenario they already have a well rehearsed plan, they already honed well on their craft. Tsk, tsk, tsk.

I am posting again the faces of these scammers whom i will call the "tawas guys". literally they really need tawas coz they smell terrible but what stinks most of them are their evil plot. Beware of the FACES!

For your information, those Natives were just Tools or Instruments of a bigger outfit like a Syndicate and those Bad Guys were banking that the Victim or Victims will believe the Innocent and Uneducated Natives, as who would have thought that those Natives can produce their own Gold Bars, it is all part of the game and it has been done before. The Dumagats and the Aetas has been instruments of these Scams and the Syndicates can use other Native Groups from the different parts of the Philippines too. The Native Instruments takes all the Risk, with Meager Pay, if they are successful or go to Jail if they are caught by the Authorities and the Big Wigs or Masterminds, they are out there,  Safe and the Natives do not even know their Names so they cannot be made to pay. It is a game the Syndicates play and they were successful too and the Victims were mostly people that do not use Gods gift of Reasoning and Logic  and of course, the Gullible.

I agree sir thunter,
Even a rich man somewhere in ormoc leyte was victim of 6M., it's according to he buy those price to think that he earned triple of what he invest for a 12kls. of bars, then going to Manila and directly sold to the gold buyer. But, it is so bad it's a fake.

@ t_hunter44 & franke,

i am sorry i didn't mean to degrade these people. i agree and well aware that these natives were also unwilling victims (instruments as you said so), i pity on them so much but not condoning their wrongful deeds, they are still part of the problem whether we like it or not. but on the other hand they could choose to do it or not. i believe they know already what's right and wrong. but if they are made

And it is because they are the frontliners we need to start from them so we can get to those who are behind them. this is a case we need to catch the tail first before getting on the head.

When someone offers you a gold bar for sale, I would suggest, first thing to ask to your ownself is...

(1) WHY ME? WHAT IS SO SPECIAL THEY SAW IN ME?

(2) WHY CAN'T THEY DEAL IT THEMSELVES TO A BIG PAWNSHOP? OR

(3) WHY CAN'T THEY CUT THE BAR INTO SMALL PIECES TO BE SOLD TO GOLD BUYERS IN THE MARKET?

Usually the number (1) question is overlooked after we see the glitters of the gold bar which makes the mind wander 10 to 100 times to future plans. It makes the mind eager beyond rational thinking and reasoning.

Presence of mind please!!! Use rational thinking...
