   Looks Genuine but it is tarnished so it has to be a low carat gold material if it is at all. Try buffing that black tarnish and see what happens.

Yes, looks genuine & shows at lower carat gold, just remove that black tarnish by buffing and surely you will see the shine or rays of the gold.

That whole area from to Tagoloan to Ozamiz City to Maramag to Malaybalay is counterfeiters, in particular Marawi.  They make a lot of fake Wells Fargo and FRN boxes in Marawi, their nick names are Marawi Boxes.

That place is in Northern Luzon, Cagayan Province. It was also the place where the supposed venue of one friend to buy a gold bar, against the advice of Boy Lara and me in 2010. The style, they show an authentic gold bar then will send the buyer to Aparri for cash withdrawal on the bank but will let the companion of the buyer be left in Lallo along with the bar. Upon payment, they switch the bar. A classic scenario of scammer.

If we are all with the same mind set, the answer is YES. But the scammers use it as a bait to make more money, the easy way.
