sir ghost. thank you for the idea about core sampling and bore drilling.   the machine used in core sampling is really a sight to behold and a great toy to own.   i dont have a core sampling drilling type of machine. mine is a customized and crude drilling machine.  your idea about drilling is extension, mr. ghost. i hope you can share more on this post.

may i also ask if mr. ghost has used drilling machine in his treasure hunting activities?  may i ask the other members of this forum if someone using drilling mchines or thaat type of machine presented by THUNTER has actually been successful in recovering gold?  in my own limited knowledge, i havent heard of someone who have employed drilling machine in successfully recovering gold.

Regarding drilling machine as you mention if who is the successful members one I know but he is not a member here and also he belong to a bigtime hunter in the country particular the time of Ex. Pres. Corazon Aquino and no other than Mc Dougald the one who excavate the fort santiago and one of my friend in Siniloan,Laguna is the operator of that machine and he called it a Bore Hole Drilling Machine and he is the operator for five years and work as a digger also of four years and last year 2000 he is the THAPI consultant for sign reading and if I know they hit the give away item in the Siniloan Church. As per my friend before Mc Dougald carry out an operation they will drill first so that the knows the deep and quantity of the item....

@Renantiur, just like you I have a crude drilling machine bought second hand from deep well contractor years back. I planned to fit bigger rotating blades at the tip but funds run short and then called overseas for the time being. It was powered up by 25 hp gas engine and planned to use it in determining the depth of the target. Maybe when I will be back that I will use it. I have just collected promising sites after my 3 failures in digging, for future exploration. As to the core sampling, it is mostly used by mining companies and very expensive machine, the tooth alone may cost you a fortune. Just been addicted to researching mining lately and the tools they use in prospecting and been hook to the TV series Gold Rush, Gold Fathers and Jungle Gold at Natgeo channel. Try to watch.

1st experience- drilled in an area repeatedly visited by the JAPANESE. A 300 SQM residential area being offered to buy for 17million by the japanese through a filipino friend.

found a very hard cement at almost 20 feet.destroyed the said hard cement in less than a day. found rusted batteries and wires. found several destroyed metal items. found charcoals, different strata and different sand and soil layers. found several cement layers. hit a very hard cement layer at around 45 feet . pounded  the hard cement layer with a 200-300 drillbit for  3 days. on the early morning of the 4th day, the said very hard cement layer can no longer be found. what was most surprising was, the drillbit can be found at around 50 feet already (we measured the metal cable attached to the heavy drill bit every 2 hours) . and everytime we pound the hole, we can hear a very hallow and echoing sound.  nobody can give us an idea as to how that happened. everybody in our group agreed that the cement chamber or layer might have transferred to another chamber. i have heard of stories about a sliding concrete chamber before. and we presumed that we might have encountered one.  the sad part of the said expedition was we cannot transfer to another area anymore because the said area where we can explore is a house. the owner does not want us to drill anymore. she had enough of our treasure hunting folly that she decided to put a stop to our drilling activity.

You have just found the chamber on this operation. don't be confused about it. You have reached and break in to the chamber. There were chambers which is filled with thick clay and very thick sand. I heard from other areas it is a much as 10ft. you should have purged it with so much water to remove the poison and manually dig it down to investigate. You failed because you stopped. At 50ft the chamber could be very big just like the areas of my friends in luzon.

It is worth reinvestigating by digging another hole beside it. 2-3 feet would be good.

I planned to buy drill rigs that could reach 150ft. It is much easier to drill that way than dug it manual which is more costly. The real problem is the poison. By these bore hole you can purge it as long as you can to clear the site.

Cheers!

Guys,

Better find another site if not then someday you found a solution how to continue the project if encounter abnormality mostly if using heavy equipment, If that case then the claim of my friend might be supported and maybe it's true how they come up a solution to their successful recovery.

I would not suggest too that we use heavy equipment during our digging operation like dozers and backhoe. It will leave a huge opening and it will be an environmental disaster. We keep things small as possible to minimize environmental impact. We need to invest on these drills and learn more how not to contaminate our aquifers.

Margaha,

Bro, it is much better and safe if used dozers and backhoe if they can afford, than making a hole like a tunnel.
