« on: January 11, 2015, 08:27:03 PM »
We are planning to do some gold mining in Agusan Province so are looking to hire a freelance gold mining consultant asap. Our operation will be tunnel mining so we need his expert advice as to where is the best place for us to dig, etc.

Thanks,

Yamashita treasure or natural goldmine nuggets? If yamashita treasure is your target the best way is to test every applicant. Those with knowledge of the Japanese engineering secret will excel. One pinpoint is a hundred persent success must be their passing grade in order to be hired. One who knows exactly where the shallowest to the deepest big load.
For natural gold probably those degree holder in engineering is your best choice with years of  mining experience.
Just a suggestion.
Failures made them perfect yet perfect are generous to make themselves masters of their knowledge!

No, no, no. If Yamashita Treasure then I would have posted it in the other area. I'm talking about real Gold Mining. Totally different. Nothing to do with all that Yamashita treasure stuff.

i know of one friend who was hired there in luzon. he goes home from time to time.  he is a geological engineer and works for a big mining firm in luzon, the company of which i still dont know  because all we talk during drinking session was another matter. the said engineer also works abroad before in a foreign mining site and he used to be connected also with mines and geosciences bureau before.

but i will try to ask him if he is interested. or i dont know if he fits in to your need.

i also know of one person and he used to work for in a mining firm based in burma or brunei. i cant remember. it must have been burma. i cant remember. his wife is  a colleague of mine a long time ago.

Tony, so is this hard rock or are you tunneling in paleoplacer deposits ???  You have the necessary permits or operating on tribal land ????  I'm not actually planning on going to Mindanao, well maybe GenSan area and Dipolog to visit friends in February but on another island then.  I actually am a degreed structural geologist with a lot of mining background.  ( no money to be made in real mining now, it's all hand to mouth ).  Crushing and concentrating is always fun.

Zobex,
It is hard rock. We will have to drill and then use dynomite. Yes, all licenses are already approved. We won't work or get involved in any illegal operations. I definitely need a good geologist so we can show him around and he can give us his opinion where is the best place for us to start making our tunnels.

Is this a quartz vein ( like not more than 18" wide ) or a zone deposit ( like 3 feet wide ) ?  Free gold quartz, or sulfide ( not much of that in the Philippines ) ?  Can it be mechanically concentrated or is it a fine disseminated in the native rock?  Hillside, flat land, near water ( to crush on site and first stage concentrate ).  Any electrical power near or do you plan on using generators ??  What made you think there is a deposit there to start, someone must have done a preliminary inspection.  Was this site worked before the war or by the Japs ??  Is the vein vertical or some other angle, requiring shoring and bracing ???

A major fault runs through Rosario. It is a well know gold producing area by some major Australian gold mining companies like PHILSAGA - who are tunnel mining up to 300 Kilograms per Month. That's good enough evidence for us to know there's gold there already.

The area that Admin TW is targetting is what we call the Surigao-Agusan-Davao Epithermal Belt, when we say that, it's mostly alluvial deposits.
First stage in mining explore the waterways, rivers, streams etc, look for placer deposits then alluvial deposits, before embarking on hard-rock mining which involves mainly of tunneling.
