Miss Racquel (not yet Mama),

Simple solution to debate ones opinion.
Who believe what Mr. X says on the topic?....Vote and explain why.
Who contradicts?...Vote and explain why

NO REBUTTAL ON SOMEBODY ELSE VOTE....His vote is final.
MAJORITY WINS...NO APPEAL. Problem solve.

PS - Professional Surveyor. Those markers are part of the BLLM (Bureau of Lands Location Monument) so definitely they are not treasure markers. They were being placed there in lieu of the cylindrical cement due to the topographical erosion which could alter the the exact location. The stones are seen as permanent so it was chosen rather than the use of the cylindrical cement. That method is still adopted until 1976 or 1977.

In the book of Engr Venancio Besavilla, (Reviewer on Math and Surveying- 1976), it used the words Philippine Survey but some old professional surveyors still prefer Professional Surveyor.

Whew, this topic made me run and look for my old books!!!

Example test of contested topic (MUHON)

P.S. Philippine soil......Vote: 0

P.S. Professional Surveyor....Vote: 1  (gboy  :-*)

Oks ba? ;D ;D ;D

Note: every vote is final, majority wins.
If you choose the wrong or correct answer, it doesn't matter bcoz thats your opinion/observation and your VOTE is final hehehe

What I know was the cylindrical concrete markers(muhon) that separates a lot has BL or PS on top of it and it used to mean Bureau of Lands for BL and Private Surveyor or Professional Surveyor for PS. Nowadays most of these markers or Muhon is marked PS as most is done nowadays by Private or Professional Surveyor firms so when you see a BL, then it usually is an old marker as I think Bureau of Lands in not in the business of doing Land Surveys anymore and when you see a BL Marker, that particular piece of land has an old land title. Reasons why one will see this PS markers nowadays was the land is being subdivided by family members, or land grabbing or on new land titles. Just my 2 cents worth.
JUst my 2 cents worth.

I agree with DB and TH44, when our land was subdivided 5 years ago, The 'muhon' marked BL is now replaced with 'muhon' mark PS as it is done by Private/Professional surveyors. Just my experience in this "muhon' thing.
